Redesigned hiring application for a large client. Included use of ASP, SQL Server, and custom PDF creation. Web application currently handles 2,000 screenings per day. Developed activity planning system to help managers/employees manage their work week. Also played an important role in company-wide push towards automating tax programs using pre-filled PDFs and other types of documents.

Managed and maintained 650 user website for an entry level business course. Included use of ASP and SQL Server. Also worked with database team and school authorities during a time of security issues dealing with social security numbers.

“When it is vital to get things done.” Vitalist is all about being able to accomplish tasks, and the design for the website and application had to make this easy.

The home page delivers with an easy way for users to quickly sign-up for Vitalist, as well as take a tour of the software.

The actual application uses a standard user interface, but incorporates some heavy javascript to make the application easier to use. Some print CSS styling was also used in order to make printing easier.

Chateau Chic

Classy. Comfortable. Creative. That was the message I tried to deliver with Chateau Chic, an interior design company based out of Houston, TX.

I installed a Content Management System to allow the client to easily manage the content on the website. Adding new designs to the site is as easy as typing some text and uploading a few pictures.

This site includes use of a javascript image viewer for portfolio pictures, and a custom flash title bar to cycle through various designs.

“80.1″ is my first release of a Wordpress theme. It is based heavily on a theme I did for CarInsider.Net, but it is a little more generic and should work well anywhere without modification.

For Wordpress, this theme currently utilizes the random posts functions from the wonderful Customizable Post Listings plugin. And if you don’t have that plugin installed, it will just use your blog’s description.

I have also recently converted this theme for use in Blogger. And if there are any other blog platforms you would like this theme converted to, let me know and I will see what I can do.

J. Craig Cowgill & Assoc.

J. Craig Cowgill & Assoc. is a website that I worked on for a law firm based in Houston. A first for me on this site is utilizing the Google Maps API for displaying the location of the law firm. This has proven very flexible and is definitely something that can be implemented on future projects.

Another interesting feature of the J. Craig Cowgill website is the use of flash typefaces, called sIFR. This allows you to use most any font you like on a site, and you don’t have to worry about the user’s machine having the font installed.

Overall I am happy with the site and I think the client was as well.

CarInsider.net is a website devoted to the latest news and happenings in the car industry. Again, the site uses Wordpress for publishing content and has a theme custom built by BERG80.

Bevo Sports

Bevo Sports is a website that I am jointly working in with seven22. The site is devoted to all things relating to Longhorn sports (that is where I went to college) and is something that I am truly passionate about.

The website uses Wordpress for publising the pages and has a custom theme built by myself and seven22.

Thermal Break

Thermal Break is an ongoing web project that I am currently still working on. The client wanted a simple/clean look, and I feel that I have accomplished that with this design.

I will update this project once it is complete.
